T DAY

and just like that, the christmas music came on.

it's thanksgiving evening, and i am stuffed to the brim as i should be per american tradition. had a fabulous day filled with love from my own family serving food for the elderly and homeless, and then out to the country with some old time friends. got to ride dirt bikes and jump on a trampoline and sit in hand carved chairs by the fire. so so lovely!
i'm trying not to think of the next 2 days that i have to work, and then how quickly monday will come and back to the daily grind. too quickly...

boy am i thankful. i catch myself being somber and bitter and negative, for no good reason. habit maybe? bad habits die hard....
thankful for
food in my fridge
a savings account
a great bike
a ticket in my inbox to Colombia AND pennsylvania (lucky!)
a closet full of fun and fabulous clothes
my own apartment full of furniture and warm blankets
genuine friends
my best friend and brother, phillip
living equal distance from ocean and mountains
a car that i love to drive
a body that moves and performs when i want it to, perfectly able
the people that i surround myself with that press in and press in often, fulfilling and satisfying my need for connection

there is too much to be thankful for.
